We are talking about another talent to know not only Hayao Miyazaki 🙂
When asked about a full-length anime you watched, what titles would you name? Most likely, most of them will be from Studio Ghibli – from Hayao Miyazaki himself. Undoubtedly, he is a cult director and his work has long been considered “classics” not only in Japanese animation. Do you know about The Girl Who Leapt Through Time? Probably yes. Only the director and screenwriter of this famous film was not Miyazaki, but Mamoru Hosoda, another famous director, and screenwriter. Now we will tell you more about five of his famous works. We bet you definitely watched them! And if not, then look – they’re worth it. 🙂
5. Mirai from the future
If you have a little brother or sister, then you just need to watch this anime. Because it just tells about how hard it is sometimes for children to accept a new addition to their family. Little Coon lives with his family on the outskirts of the city. And when his little sister, Mirai, is born, she begins to believe that now all the love of her parents belongs only to her, and everyone has abruptly forgotten about him. Through subtle metaphors, Hosoda Mamoru talks about child psychology and the possible negative consequences of such behavior for older children. Therefore, we highly recommend that you look at yourself from the outside for everyone who has younger ones and the younger ones – what it was like for the older ones. And even better – together with the whole family! 🙂
4. Summer Wars
There are two worlds: virtual and real. In both, the main character manages to live harmoniously and even make some friends. But when it gets bored Kenji Koiso, of course, instantly rushes into a game in which you can communicate, trade, travel and love. But suddenly the Love Machine virus begins to rage in the virtual world, and the 17-year-old genius of mathematics has to solve something with it, simultaneously saving reality too.
An interesting and exciting adventure that will teach you the importance of friendship!
3. Apprentice monster
Ren loses his parents, he is lonely, and darkness lives in his heart. Until he ends up in another world and meets there one very strange monster. The bear cubs are the spitting image of Ren, just matured. At first, they don’t get along at all, and then the monster slowly understands how to find an approach to the boy. Where to be empathetic, were to be strict, and where to throw motivation. Hoody Mamoru draws a parallel about the fact that if a person is alone, he dies. And to prevent this from happening, people must hold on to each other. There are different types of teachers in the anime, each of which has its own truth. Look and see if there are similar characters in your environment.
2. Wolf children of Ame and Yuki
A touching anime about the injustice of the world and life, over which you will surely cry. But we advise you to watch it because the simple truths veiled by Hosoda are simple and easy to find. A student at Hana University meets an amazing guy, whom she falls in love with. And even accepts his terrible secret: her boyfriend is a werewolf. Unafraid of difficulties and life with the eternal stigma of mystery, the couple marries. And soon their daughter Yuki is born and after her son Ame. Also werewolves, like dad. Only suddenly Hana learns about the death of her beloved. Now she is forced to single-handedly raise restless kids with a wolf-like disposition.
1. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
If you could go into the past and change it, would you dare? Would you even think about the responsibility that would fall on your shoulders if you took this step? On one of the most ordinary days, high school student Makoto discovers that she can “jump” in time. And she even has a counter of attempts to change something on her hands. True, the girl treats her new ability very frivolously – she spends the cherished time on pudding or talking with a friend. But at the most important moment, it remains without the ability to change anything. Hoody Mamoru here not only hints at the transience of time but also how important it is to always remember that any of your actions will have consequences.
